Terms of Service
By using The Calling you agree to these terms. They are written plainly because the project is small and we'd rather you read them.
The service
The Calling is a pilot service that offers reflective conversations and matching with ministry opportunities. It is provided as-is during this pilot, may change, and may occasionally be unavailable.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to use The Calling. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep your login details private.
How you may use it
You agree to use The Calling in good faith. Specifically, you will not:
- Misrepresent your identity, gifts, or availability.
- Use the platform to harass, defraud, or harm anyone.
- Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
- Scrape or resell content from the platform.
- Use it for anything unlawful.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you share with us. By using the service you grant us a limited licence to process your content for the purpose of running The Calling — including matching, AI conversation, and improving the platform.
AI conversations
Responses from the AI guide are generated automatically and may be imperfect. They are not professional spiritual, pastoral, medical, or legal advice. Please use prayer, mentors, and your local church community for important decisions.
Matching with opportunities
Matches are suggestions, not commitments. Any actual placement, role, or relationship is between you and the receiving organisation. The Calling is not responsible for the decisions, conduct, or outcomes of those organisations.
Availability
As a pilot, the service may be offline, change features, or end without notice. We'll do our best to communicate changes, but no uptime is guaranteed.
Termination
You may close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or pose risk to other users.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Calling and its operators are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. The service is offered without warranty of any kind.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Changes
We may update these terms during the pilot. If we make material changes we'll notify you. Continued use after the update means you accept the new terms.
